January 24 2008 Everyone is invited to attend. Come and be with us, at our facility. The Rep from NewTek will be demonstrating and answering questions about NewTek products such as; SpeedEDIT 1.5, 3D Arsenal, TriCaster PRO, Studio, and the new TriCaster FX. Along with giveaways and special show prices.
An Example of what to expect at the shows:
Can I create my own live virtual sets?
Yes. NewTek provides several free utilities for this purpose. NewTek LiveSet Constructor is a basic utility to quickly create layered key masks. It takes seconds to create a foreground, such as an anchor desk, and a background. LiveSet Producer is a plug-in for Aura-compatible applications that lets you quickly use brushes to manipulate video in real time. The advanced utility, LiveSet Generator, provides real-time reflections, variable focal lengths, multiple camera angles and more. LiveSet Generator is a plug-in for LightWave 9.3 and the same tool that NewTek artists used to create the existing virtual sets. Both utilities will be available on your NewTek registration page, in the My Downloads section.

Stump the Tech
We are challenging every one to stump our highly experienced techs with questions in video editing and equipment. These questions and answers will be posted with full recognition. The postings will only be edited for improper usage. This is being done for fun in an effort to share knowledge about our industry. So go ahead and try to STUMP the Tech. Click Here to send us your question (Please leave the subject line Stump the Tech) Q: "My church recently bought some used JVC 2/3 cameras with 16x Fujinon lens. The lenses do not have doublers. However we have the exact same lens with a doubler that was mounted on a 2/3 inch Sony camera. Is there an adaptor to make the 2/3 inch Fujinon that was on the Sony that will allow us to use that lens on the 2/3 JVC?"
A: "There are several variables involved, such at the exact model numbers of the lenses, how old they are, etc. The new model Fuji lenses have universal mounts and/or adapters available for different camera configurations. We suggest you contact Fuji 973-633-5600 , have your lens model numbers available, and discuss your options with them.
"
Hope this helps.
